Installation method of outer spherical bearing

2020-12-10

The outer spherical bearing fixes the inner ring of the bearing with the shaft through an eccentric sleeve or an adapter sleeve, and the hexagon socket screw on the eccentric sleeve acts as a fastening.
How to properly install the outer spherical bearing:
First, disassembly
1. First loosen the locking screw on the eccentric sleeve of the bearing with an Allen key, then insert the small iron rod into the counterbore on the eccentric sleeve of the top cover, and loosen the eccentric sleeve against the direction of rotation of the shaft.
2. Loosen the bolts that secure the bearing housing. Remove the bearing from the shaft together with the housing. Note before removing the bearing housing at one end of the shaft. The bearing block bolts at the other end of the shaft should be loosened to prevent the bearings at both ends from being damaged by each other.
Second, the installation
1. Before installing the bearing on the shaft, the bearing pin of the bearing sleeve must be unplugged, and the surface of the journal should be smoothed and cleaned, and the oil is rust-proof and lubricated at the journal (allowing the bearing to rotate slightly on the shaft).
2. Apply lubricant to the bearing seat and bearing mating surface, and install the bearing into the bearing housing. Then the assembled bearing is placed on the shaft together with the bearing housing. Push to the desired location for installation.
3. The bolts of the fixed bearing housing should not be tightened first, so that the bearing housing can rotate in the bearing housing. Also install the other end bearing and seat on the same shaft, turn the shaft a few turns, and let the bearing itself automatically find the position. Then fasten the bearing block bolts.
4. Install the eccentric sleeve. First, eccentric sleeve is placed on the eccentric step of the inner sleeve of the bearing, and the shaft is tightened by hand in the direction of rotation. Then insert or hold the small iron rod against the counterbore on the eccentric sleeve. 1. Use a hammer to strike a small iron rod in the direction of rotation of the shaft. Install the eccentric sleeve securely and finally lock the socket head cap screws on the eccentric sleeve.

The basic performance of the outer spherical ball bearing is similar to that of deep groove ball bearings. Most of these bearings are used in rough machines. The mounting position is not accurate enough. The axis of the shaft and the seat hole is poorly centered, or the shaft length is large and the deflection is large. In the case of the same, the accuracy of the bearing itself is not high enough, and some structures are also rough, so the actual performance of the common performance is equivalent to the same specifications of the deep groove ball bearing to be quite discounted. For example, the outer spherical ball bearing with top wire is applied to the through shaft with large difference in deflection. The bearing has sealing ring on both sides, which can strictly prevent the intrusion of dirt. The factory is loaded with a proper amount of lubricant, and it does not need to be cleaned before installation. No need to add lubricant, the top wire screw on the protruding end of the inner ring of the bearing is fastened on the shaft. The permissible axial load must not exceed 20% of the rated dynamic load.

Installation method for adapter ball bearing with outer sleeve:

The tapered bore with the inner diameter of the adapter sleeve bearing is fixed to the shaft through the adapter sleeve, which ensures the reliable fastening of the bearing and the shaft under vibration and shock conditions. It should be noted that when the torque of the lock nut is insufficient or loose, the relative sliding between the adapter sleeve and the shaft may cause the mating surface of the lock to wear; when the torque of the lock nut is too large, the inner ring will rise. A large excess causes the bearing clearance to be too small, causing abnormal heating and early wear of the bearing, and even blasting the inner ring.
1. Detect the rigidity of the installation base of the equipment, the flatness of the mounting surface, the dimensional tolerance of the shaft, etc., and confirm whether the shaft has any problems such as bending, scratches, burrs, etc., and then put the adapter sleeve into the shaft and place it in the required installation position. .
2. Insert the bearing with the seat into the shaft, use a pointed hammer to lightly tighten the large end face of the sleeve so that the tapered surface is close to the tapered hole of the bearing. Install the washer and lock nut on the adapter sleeve and tighten the lock nut by hand.

3. Fix the seat to the equipment with bolts. The mounting bolts should be tightened with the specified torque. Refer to the recommended values in the table above.

4. Tighten the lock nut on the adapter sleeve with a hook wrench. Refer to the recommended values in the table below for the tightening torque. Or use a clamp to get stuck in the gap of the lock nut. Use a hammer to hit the clamp and screw the lock nut into the 2/5~3/5 turn.

5. In order to avoid the axial tightening of the bearing due to the movement of the cone, the bearing with the vertical seat should loosen the bearing bolt of one side, adjust the position of the bearing with the shaft while turning the shaft by hand, and then tighten the mounting bolt with the specified torque; Bearings with flanged seats must have a certain axial displacement in advance to ensure that after the lock nut is tightened, the bearing with the seat is displaced to the bottom of the seat and the device mounting surface just sticks.

6. Bend the one claw of the washer to the notch of the lock nut to prevent the lock nut from loosening. Turn the shaft by hand to check if the bearing is abnormal.
